Synopsis
George Rowland, a bored playboy, disowned for the seventh time by his wealthy uncle, is on the train to London. When a beautiful girl bursts into his compartment frantically begging to be hidden, his life changes dramatically.
This short story was published in 1924 in Grand Magazine and adapted for UK television as part of The Agatha Christie Hour in 1982. The cast included Ernest Clark, Roy Kinnear and Bill Treacher. The Girl in the Train is published in The Listerdale Mystery, published in 1934, and also in The Golden Ball and Other Stories.
