Synopsis

The Road of Dreams' is divided into four parts: 'A Masque from Italy' - ten poems created around the theme of the commedia dell'arte, and focus on the character of Harlequin, a precursor of Mr. Harley Quin in her short stories, 'Ballads' - seven poems/ballads containing romantic stories of knights, ladies and death in childbirth, 'Dream and Fantasies' - seven poems containing nebulous references to dream- and nightmare-like states, and 'Other Poems' - eleven poems of the miscellany that the section title implies.
