I just finnished the book. I found it really enjoyable. It is fun. It's light hearted without being sickly sweet.

The story revolves around the appearance of a dead body and it's effect on the dinner party guests. I'd love to see this as a play, I think it would be full of energy and humour.

I found it surpisingly good (Osbourne's novel). After the failure of BLACK COFFEE, this was a very fun and entertaining one to read.

I read the Osbourne book as well. Personally, I always found Osborne's descriptions of the scene simply dull, and this is no exception. To me, it always seems, as if he just wrote down the stage direction. It is in the dialogue, which is of course by Christie, where the book really shines.

I haven't seen the play, but I've read the book by Osbourn which was unexpectedly good!

Spider's Web is my all time favourite Christie. I wish I could get the DVD of the TV play starring Penelope Keith - sheer magic!
