Short Stories

Agatha Christie wrote nearly 160 short stories. This includes the recently discovered and published The Capture of Cerberus and The Incident of the Dog's Ball.   She used many of the plots in later novels and plays. Here you can discuss each one.

We're pretty sure they're all here but if you notice any ommissions just let us know!

I liked this story alot, I felt it could easily be Adapted in a Talews of The Unexpected or Ruth Rendel Mysteries type of way but although I did enjoy it I didn't understand the end after The Tormenter Died, Can anyone explain it to me? Thanks.

I read this one yesterday.

Unusually for a Christie story, it doesnt have a happy ending. It's odd as my sympahy isnt with the victim, but her tormentor. Yet AC builds up how Clare feels, she has remained reserved and resectable her whole life. But then it's like a dam bursting. I couldnt believe the last page, it's not an end I would have chosen.
