can't tame bees ,what do i put in smoker.thanks

Did you get the book on bees by Sherlock Holmes from the drawer in the study? You need a key to get it. Separate the tobacco from the pouch in your inventory. In the inventory, put the tobacco and the hurricane lamp together. Then add the hose from the garden. Add the matches to light it. Then use the lit, completed smoker on the beehive, and when the bees are lulled, take a honeycomb, pour it into the cocktail shaker, then pour some from the shaker into a glass. Give a glass of honey to Dr. Armstrong and he will tell you something interesting.

Perhaps the doctor will talk to you later in the game. When you give the doctor a glass of honey, he's supposed to give you some background information about the judge. Several characters give you additional information once you give them something. The judge will tell you more about a scrap of paper you find after you give him a lit pipe. Miss Brent will tell you more once she gets a glass of fresh apple juice. The general will tell you more once he gets the bear cane. The honey and the bees aren't necessary to solve the game, and in fact you can do without the honey, just like you don't have to dust for fingerprints, although finding fingerprints will help you solve the mystery. The only thing you can do with the honey is give a glass of it to the doctor.

Thank again,so whats the story on goats i need to past ,(eat bushes?)something on bushes to trick goats for a meal? so it isn't honey,than what.

You need to go to the apple orchard and get a basket of fresh apples and one of rotten apples. Go to the fruit press in the kitchen, using the propeller, cheesecloth (separate the cheese from the cloth in your inventory), bucket, and glasses, and turn the fruit into a glass of juice and a glass of hard cider. The juice is for Miss Brent. Throw the cider on the brambles and watch the goats eat.
