I am stuck, so far we collected alot of items, house mistress ( lady in black ) is sick & in bed, what shall I do now ?

I need the pliers - where do I find them? I'm at the place where Marsten has died, found the secret room, got the bulbs in the radio but can't get the reception without pliers and then theres the flashlight issue. When I got the battery - it is called "shiney new batteries". Is that all the batteries or are there more to retrieve from the flour, since there's only one picture? Also, I've retrieved all the papers in Marstens room but I sent them to the journal before using the bible. How can I fix that to get the decoded message? Which papers are they?

Can't seem to make headway - help!!!!

how do I get ALL the batteries? I was able to retrieve one but I can't get the scoop to get anymore. Also in the secret room there is a sliding panel, how does that open?

All the flashlight batteries are in the flour.  You may need to manipulate the flashlight in your inventory to make it work.

To get better reception, take the copper fruit basket from the kitchen, empty out the fruit, cut it in your inventory with pliers, and put the copper wire behind the parlor radio.  Turn on the radio and you'll get nice music, but no other clues.

You should've found two papers in Marston's room.  Put them in your inventory, combine them with Miss Brent's Bible, and get a decoded message. Click to transfer it to your journal.  There's other information, but the combination is L28 R11 L49.  It's tricky to manipulate the safe- if you make a mistake, the works may glitch, so you have to save the game before you try the dial.  Click it slowly, turning directly to each number.

back again, I don't know what chapter we're in, book, found the secret radio room, took out tube & plugged them in family room ?? radio, but it wants better reception...

don't have combination for the safe

  have 2 batteries in the flashlight it still won't light & help me in the dark, if there is a 3rd battery, it's too hard to find it in the dark or how do we turn lights on in the rooms ?

OK, you'll need to take three books from the study shelves, then put them back on the similarly colored book shelves.  That'll let you in the secret passage.

The flashlight batteries are in the pantry.  Take the scoop and dig in the fire sack until you find them.

sorry to take so long, One man died by choking on a drink, inventory consist of : books, papers, map, rubber stamp & pad, flash light (1) battery, where is the other one ? smoking pipe & tobacco, record. other misc items

I need more details in order to help.  What chapter are you in?  How many people have died?  What items do you have in your inventory?  Are you referring to Mrs. Rodgers?
