Book Presentation

Hey could anybody help me? I've got to do a book presentation for school and I'd like to choose a Hercule Poirot novel. But it's so difficult to decide which one's the best for a presentation! At my home in Germany  almost none of my classmates know AC or Poirot so it should be a fascinating one with an unexpected ending, so that I probably can elate them to read AC novels.

I just tried The ABC Murders but it's actually hard cause I want them to guess the murderer before telling the real ending.

Which one would you choose? Perhaps you have a better idea...

I did a presentation in school based on the life and works of Agatha Christie-- It was great fun and wonderful to educate others on Agatha and her novels.:)

That sounds like so much fun, LauraPoirot, and I LOVED the novel FIVE LITTLE PIGS! I think it's one of my favorites... Congratulations on a job well done! Did any of your class mates guess the murderer correctly?

Thank You once More!!! I helt it today and everybody was glowing! I've got an A for it and many requests if they can borrow the book and who the murderer was. But I didn't tell them =)

This was really a great idea!

I planned to write it on a transparency for the overhead projector ,anyway.but a poster is also a good idea or i could print it for anyone so that they have it theirselfs...

however thank you once again! those are all really good ideas! I'll see how to play them out.

I'm wondering if it might help to make a visual diorama to help explain what's going on.  If you wrote out the events one by one in chronological order on a poster that might help make the presentation easier.

Angela was fifteen at the time of the murder.

How much time do you have for your presentation?  The events of the day of the murder could probably be summed up in just five or six sentences.

Is it too boring or too long when I do a reconstruction of the day of murder just as a part of the summary?

one more question:

how old is Angela Warren when Amyas is murdered?

Thanks! I thought of taking After The Funeral  but maybe too many of my classmates do know the film version and so it could get boring. Cards on the Table was my first idea but then I noticed that I only own the English version and for a German lesson IN Germany... well I don't think this is what our teachers had imagined. But with Five Little Pigs, I think I did a good choice. The German title is btw "Das unvollendete Bildnis".

Again Thank you very much! I'll start right now with the preparing.

Well, Cards on the Table might be a good choice because there are only four suspects, or possibly Five Little Pigs which has five.  Both are great books that mght make for interesting presentations.
