I always like Poirot but I do feel some of the books he is in are better than others, I like the recurring Characters in the Piorot Books, Unfortunately The Percentage of Books I like with him in is lowser than with MM and The Beresfords because there are so many, IMHO his Clocks is Miss Marple's Moving Finger They weren't needed IMHO

Some times I hate Poirot because of his egotism and his very phony outrageous snobbism. Sometimes I like him very much because of his wonderful power of revealing complexities of a hidden plot, the plot that you can metaphor it like the deceptions of the whole life.

I must say, me and Poirot have much in common. We both love neatness and order, both read detective stories, both are terribly old fashioned and we are both old fashioned. On the other hand, I hate the city, he loves it and I am NOT a genius!!! Without a doubt, he is my favourite detective.

Oh i've just seen what I wrote... much nonsense

so here we are again:

I really love everything about him! I also like the stories with Hastings because he describes Poirot very great. When he doesn't know what Poirot's doing I must smile everytime....

Poirot's such a wonderful person!

I think Poirot is Brilliant, now, after reading Death On The Nile the only main Christie Characters I don't like are Satterthwaitte and Mr Quin

I love Poirot as a caracter and also all the strories with him are excellent. I prefer the stories which include Hastings.

I also love Miss Marple.

I really did not care for Tommy and Tuppence. I started a few books with them and didn't have the patience to finish them.

I adore Poirot. Personally, I can't stand Tommy and Tuppence! I agree about Supt. Battle, I have SUCH a crush on him. Toward Zero is my favorite Christie.

I do find the books with Poirot in them far more interesting than the other books. I like his methodical approach and in general his whole persona.

As a character, I like him. He's peculiar, different, methodic etc. but after reading so many books with him I start disliking him just like Agatha Christie. But, well, I think 8/10.

As a Character I too like him but I wish Agatha Christie hadn't put him in so many books, I would love it If there were more books with the other Detectives but perhaps Some of the books would not have suited them but some of the books I would not have missed if I hadn't had read them but without Poirot maybe we would not have Hastings, Japp, Spence and Ariadne Oliver, we would still have Battle and Race as they appear in books without Poirot.

As a character? I like the guy. Dunno why Agatha disliked him in the end of her career.

Or did you mean "Poirot books?" That depends - I have a few disliked titles also - but a solid 8/10 on average.
