The second book I read he passed away at the end and I cried. I hated that he was old and it was his last case then I realized that I was out of order.  I was wondering if someone could tell me what order to read Agatha's books in, I have them all now and would like to read them in correct order.

One more thing,

I would suggest reading And Then There Were None before starting anything else. This book introduces you into AC's world. Great book with a somewhat surprising ending.

Actually, you can find the reading order here on the site.  Go to Stories & Detectives, then in the side bar to Stories and there is a Reading Order tab.  There you can find the complete reading order.

The tips they give are: Lord Edgeware Dies before After the Funeral; Five Little Pigs before Elephants Can Remember; Cat among the Pigeons before Hallowe'en Party; Mrs McGinty's Dead before Hallowe'en Party & Elephants can Remember; Murder on the Orient Express before Murder in Mesopotamia.

I can't remember who it was or wether it was the old or new site but someone posted which books should be read before others like The Mysterious Affair at Styles  must be read first and Death On The Nile and Murder On The Orient Express before Cards On The Table etc. perhaps if the person posts it again it might help you.

Hi Merigold,

Personally, I would start with AC's first book, The Mysterious Affair at Styles ( which was written in 1920). From there, it doesn't really matter which book you read next. If you really wanted to read them in order wikipedia Hecule Poirot in Fiction and you will find a complete list of the books in chronological order.

Hope this is helpful.
