but I'm afraid I don't know of which books they are... hope I could help!
From what I undersand the stories found in Murder in the Mews ARE included but maybe we should wait for someone who has the book to confirm this.
I don't know where I read the thing about the expansion but it was somewhere
. I think that the originial stories aren't in the book but the expanded versions ARE. For example, The Submarine Plans isn't included but the expansion called The Incredible Theft IS included.
However, you should wait for someone who has the book to clarify this a bit more.
thanks na_well and Laura
too bad that Murder in the Mews' stories don't appear there, I didn't even know that they are were expanded from shorter stories, so at least I learnd something new LOL
Hi Mr_west! I had the same doubt as you some time ago and I created a post on this matter called 'Poirot Complete Short Stories'. Maybe you should take a look at it.
I found out that the book doesn't have the stories found on The Big Four or the four stories which were later expanded, namely The Submarine Plans, Christmas Adventure, The Mystery of the Baghdad Chest and The Second Gong.
As Laura said there are 52 stories, including the ones on The Labours of Hercules, Poirot's Early Cases and more.
As far as I can see there aren't the stories of The Big Four but at all there are 52 stories and I really like this Collection 'though I havent read them all yet =)And it includes two previously unpublished Poirot stories.
Ten people, each with something to hide and something to fear, are invited to a lonely mansion on Soldier Island by a host who, surprisingly, fails to appear.
When the wealthy patriarch, Aristide, is murdered, suspicion falls on the whole household. ...
Travelling on the Orient Express, Poirot is approached by a desperate American. Afraid that someone plans to kill him, Ratchett asks Poirot for help ...

I'm considering to boy the book Hercule Poirot: the coomplete short stories, and I have a question to those of you who have this collection:
does the book contain all of Poirot's short stories? I mean, does it contain all of his short stories collection? (Poirot Investigates, Murder In the Mews, Poirot's Early Cases, The Labours Of Hercule, The Big Four etc.)
