Please rate the novel Hallowe'en Party by Agatha Christie

1-2-horrible

3-4-bad but some parts are a bit good

5-6-it's ok but something lacks

7-it's so good

8-eight stars

9-nine stars

10-brilliant + wonderful +10 stars

First of all, I will rate the novel 6. This book is okay. Nothing lacks. The characters are brilliantly made by Agatha Christie. The plot is awesome, and so are the twists and settings. The middle scenes are a bit boring. The ending was very surprising and I can't believe it that he/she is the killer! Miranda and Judith Butler are my favorite characters.

Hallowe'en Party is far from perfect, and I will admit it. But I found the novel so engrossing and the atmosphere was definately curious. I also loved the plot idea. The climax right before the killer is revealed demonstrates AC's great talent for suspense-writing.

I've always liked Hallowe'en Party. It was one of the first novels I read, and although it does indeed have the "looser" style of late Christie, it coheres very well and is highly atmospheric. The characters are all well drawn, the descriptive text vivid, and the plot is pleasing. Only the dialogue fails to ignite (the real Christie failing, in my opinion), but this doesn't detract from the overall effect. Sinister and intriguing, Hallowe'en Party should make a wonderful television drama, and is the last great Christie novel.

9/10

I rate this book 6/10.  Not one of my favs but it's enjoyable and entertaining. The plots and twists are good but nothing suprising. My favourite character is Miranda, she is just so innocent! The novel is a bit dull, I don't dislike the novel but I don't find it interesting at all.
