That's a tough one. I tend to like my Poirots with Hastings thrown in

However, if I am forced to choose what I consider to be the best Poirots, then I agree with your selection. Although I would love to add Sad Cypress.

I also agree with your selection (I've never read Evil Under the Sun but saw the movie so I know how surprising was the end) but I'd like to add "Lord Edgware Dies", it's really a good one.

Good choice on the top 3 but, for me, the top 3 have to include Hercule Poirot's Christmas and Dumb Witness.

I agree with you Holly, Sad Cypress is fascinating. I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of reading it! I personally really enjoyed Murder on the Orient Express!!!!

Dumb Witness? How could I forget that one. An excellent choice, Paris. I love that one too!

I'm listening to the audio book of Sad Cypress at the moment, btw.

Hello!  It will take me awhile to get used to this new site, but I love it already.  I really like the new "Look"!  I would have to say my top 3 HP mysteries would be:  1.  The Hollow.  2.  Peril at End House.  3.  Death in the Clouds.  BUT  I love all of them, so it's really hard to choose!

1 The Murder of Roger Ackroyd

2 Dumb Witness

3 The Mysterous Affair at Styles

Don't bother with the dreadful tv adaptations of the first two though.

1. Murder on the Orient Express(this one is actually Poirot's best, i would give it the 2nd position if i am to give positions to all books written by Agatha Christie)

2. Big Four(this is one book that you would not want to leave even for a second)

3. Death on the Nile/ Cards on the Table

Actually its really difficult. I would have liked to add Sad Cypress, Murder of Roger Ackroyd & Five Little Pigs to it too. Its so difficult indeed.

1* Murder on ther Orient express 2* Appointment With Death 3* Hercule Poiriots Christmas If you ask me there are heaps of good AC books and I would love to add heaps of them like Big Four, Mysterous Affiar At Styles, Murder On The Links and Peril At End House but what do you think the three worst are I would say they are... 1* Hickory Dickory Dock 2* One, Two Buckle My Shoe 3* Poiroits Early Cases I would also want to add Murder In the Mews and The Clocks. I say these are the worst because there is nothing exciting in them until the end and the endings aren't really god any way. I like the cases that have Intersting Parts through them all the way like the Big Four which was just heaps of excitment all the way and Appiontment With Death because of the wierd and interesting Family.

Detectivepauljohn my top three actually changes I was thinking about it thismorning and I actually think my top 3 are; 1. Death In The Clouds 2. Cards On The Table 3 ABC Murder This is because thanks to the Passenger list and plan of where they all sat being in the copy I read it is the first book I tried to solve and had great fun too but narrowed it down to 2 and picked the wrong one but Evil Under The Sun, After The Funeral, Cat Among The Pigeons, Mrs McGintys Dead and Third Girl all in the top ten.
