Well in the hour long episodes of Poirot it was art deco heaven! We as a nation and as fans fell in love with art deco. Before the first world war the Victorian style was very dark and complicated but after the war in Paris art deco was born. This new style took infulence from nature and human form. New houses sprung up in Britain (like those shown in the one hour Poirot's) that boasted large windows and huge white walls. Now I am a fan of art deco and the 30's and 40's periods and to celebrate the era that made us love Christie's I have found a selection of art deco in many forms.

Well that's it really. Another look at the bygone era that made Christie's extra special. Thanks.
