I recently played Murder on the Orient Express and then wrote a review about it which you can find on my blog:

Reverse order

Although your review is O.K., allow me to rebut a few points here and there:

- Evil Under the Sun followed MOTOE, whereas you wrote it came before.

- I didn't think the voice acting was terrible, but the lip sync was

- It's actually really faithful to the book, only it adds a few more plotlines to extend the game. How much fun would it have been to play it exactly as in the book, with no new surprises? It's justified here.

Although I loved MOTOE, it froze up on me far too often. The best game for me is still ATTWN, while EUTS had too many technical glitches for me to enjoy it.

go_leafs_nation - My bad for the false fact, but still, why didn't they keep their idea of Poirot not being a playable character?

To your question "How much fun would it have been to play it exactly as in the book, with no new surprises?".  It would be much fun if they didn't add nonsense about this guy having a secret daughter or whatnot which Christie would never have come up with. Yes, it would be boring without new surprises, but they did do some of that. Exploring other parts of the train, the train stations etc. Naturally, additions are ok but not major ones like a whole new theory/plotline.
