The Mystery Man is back! And more devious than ever...
The Mystery Man (who could also be a woman, it's a mystery after all) has kidnapped eight characters from the stories of Agatha Christie. Trouble is, we don't know who he's kidnapped!
In an email to the official Christie Community, the Mystery Man has revealed that beginning Thursday, July 7th 2011, he will allow one character per week the chance to speak.
And this is the place to put your theories and ideas to the Christie community, or just to browse to catch-up on all the latest events should you not want to use Twitter to follow the game.

Had an inkling after the first clue, then I got wrapped up in other things during the week and missed the other clues. Upon reading them all today it seemed as easy as 1,2,3! I found victim 4!
Finally got it! :) I was spelling it wrong!
Hello, back from the seaside! Well I had the victim before the clues, by accident, but it is realy easy anyway!
GKCfanDid you capitalze the last name and double-check the spelling? Do you have an original English-language version? Some transations alter the names.
That's a good idea about the spelling, GKCfan - perhaps if there is any uncertainty people could always check at the Internet Movie Data Base - I know that the spelling is correct there. Good idea to fool around with the capitalisation of the last name as well - it does seem to vary in different browsers.
I found it! The clue "I really did love Hugo" resolved all my doubts and make things clear. Now I know that the Victim 4 is from my favourite Agatha Christie's book!

I've worked out who it is but i keep getting page not found :(
Here is the fourth and final clue for Victim 4:
Victim 4 - It was awful shooting Philip. #agathachristiegame http://goo.gl/wdAS0
This is a MAJOR spoiler.... but if you know who the character's talking about you've probably read the book anyway...
Found all of the victims so far and can't wait for the next one to speak!
Finally Yes! Found it from 3rd clue. Cant wait for victim 5. Whose middle name is Elizabeth? Could it be...... Keep thinking. Good luck. It is from an amazing book.
I found it!Oh yes!
Knew it from the first clue! :) My favourite book. Was so happy when I finally got my own copy. :))
3rd clue!
Victim 4 - My middle name is Elizabeth. #agathachristiegame http://goo.gl/wdAS0
This should really help...
SocksDaventryVole_VoleToo bad I missed out on the first 3 characters.Though I think I know who victim 4 is but I'm not completely sure.
You haven't missed out at all – the clues for the first three victims are all provided on this forum. Just read Moderator2's paragraph heading on the discussion thread for each victim, and you'll see the four "messages" spoken by each of them.
The deadline for figuring out all the victims' identities is weeks away, so there's still plenty of time to join in the fun. As for Victim 4, you can always wait till he/she announces the two other messages in the next few days to confirm your suspicions. Good luck!
Oh,that's brilliant!
Many thanks for pointing that out. I will catch up and I'll surely be tuning in for more clues!

Yes Socks that's right this clue's really telling. For me it was easy since I already had a feeling that this person would be one of the mystery mans victims. I think I know what the connection between the victims is about but I can't figure it out quiet clearly.... maybe with the next victim
I just found out about this competition today! I think it's brilliant!

christie_greeceLauraPoirotThat was quiet an easy one, wasn't it?
@christie_greece: Don't you want to update your profile because of something you've written and what makes things really too easy? Sorry but it wouldn't be fair... Regards LP

Oh I feel terribly sorry if I ruined it
. I didn't remember. Thank you sooo much for the advice
I'm sure You haven't ruined anything! I just wanted to advert to this and I know you did it by accident so there's no problem! Regards!
LauraPoirot, you didn't ruin anything, since the second Twitter clue answered the question we probably all think of first. It wasn't at all easy for me, though, because it's been a long while since I've read that book, and I wasn't getting the references dropped in this forum (too subtle).
To those who are still narrowing down the possibilities: don't give up – soldier on!
Aha, got too busy to check facebook- got it in one with the last clue.
Ten people, each with something to hide and something to fear, are invited to a lonely mansion on Soldier Island by a host who, surprisingly, fails to appear.
When the wealthy patriarch, Aristide, is murdered, suspicion falls on the whole household. ...
Travelling on the Orient Express, Poirot is approached by a desperate American. Afraid that someone plans to kill him, Ratchett asks Poirot for help ...

Whatever you do, do not name the character in the forum, it will ruin the game for other players! Though feel free to help others along, just don't make it too easy for them. Anyone guilty of making it too easy will find themselves bumped off! (and banned from entering the competition).
All four messages from Victim 4 have now been released, they were:
"It wasn't my fault the child died"
"I really did love Hugo"
"My middle name is Elizabeth"
"It was awful shooting Philip"
