THE PALE HORSE was creepy! I read a book that said that someone realized that factory workers were being poisoned (the same poison used in the novel, with hair coming out in handfuls...) because of Christie's novel!!
A scene from CAT AMONG THE PIDGEONS also always freaks me out-- it's night time, but Julia can't sleep; all of a sudden she hears careful footsteps along the hallway. They stop outside her bedroom... a quiet knock on her door, before the doorknob is slowly turned.....
Just imagining it scares me every time!

"And then there was none" - a masterpiece in terror! Dame Agatha steadily builds the suspense from when the disembodied voice of U.N.Owen fills the room, through the gradual elimination of the suspects. The reader begins to identify more and more with Vera, as she is left terrified in her room, while the others hunt for Armstrong.
The final denouement of "Death comes as the end" is also pretty spooky, when Renisenb is walking down from the tomb at sunset, she hears footsteps behind her, and turns to see...............

There are SO many creepy parts in AC's books, I don't think I can pick the scariest.
There were many passages in The Moving Finger that freaked me out, along with, as Nausicaa said, the last few chapters of Endless Night.
I have to say Endless night was scary. The part (SPOILER) where mike is starting to go nuts and then he kills Greta. (Greta right, I havent read it for a while). And he explains what he did to Ellie. I was in bed at night reading that, bad idea!

It was her father, but you didn't know that yet. You didn't know who it even was until the end of the chapter... Which was what added to the creepiness.
Ten people, each with something to hide and something to fear, are invited to a lonely mansion on Soldier Island by a host who, surprisingly, fails to appear.

Which AC scene / chapter / incident did you find quite scary?
Mine was in Towards Zero, the chapter where the murderer plots with every detail the murder who is going to commit in future. I found it particularly scary. Also the revelation of Edwards' true identity in They Came to Baghdad.
What about you?
