Did NY Wendels inspire a story

Hello, perhaps one of you Agatha Christie experts can help me...I'm trying to find out if in fact the eccentric Wendel Family of New York City's 5th Avenue in 1910 inspired a book by Ms. Christie. They did inspire the play Double Door by Elizabeth McFadden, which was made into a movie in 1934 and starred Mary Morris. But if Ms. Christie made the family's melodramatics into a novel as I've heard, I would love to track it down. Can anyone help?
