I have started to re-read The Man In The Brown Suit, I love it. Anne is so Great as a Character, she is probably my favourite young Female Character
The Man in the Brown Suit was the first "other" Christie book that I read, and it hooked me on reading more of her less famous books. I always thought the adventure should end soon and then there was another part. You can get the audio book from audible.com too.
Are you talking about the Stephanie Zimbalist Film? I loved it apart from the fact Race was American but that was a minor complaint after all Films must be overblown to attract the like of Edward Woodward, Rue McLannach and Tony Randall all sadly no longer with us.
You have my complete sympathy, risarah. From the sound of it, I doubt I would have got as far as 15 minutes....
The Man In The Brown Suit was the very first AC book I had ever read, and is still my favorite. Since then, I have almost every single book of hers and have read them ALL several times. I have been trying to explore AC movies, specifically Poirot. However, when at the library the other day, I was shocked to come across The Man In The Brown Suit movie; I had no idea it existed! I was so excited! Unfortunately, I have been watching the movie for 15 minutes and have since taken it out of the DVD player. The movie is absolute crap! There is nothing genuine about it at all. Every detail has been contorted and twisted and it completely lacks all the charm that the book has. I am so disappointed!!
Ten people, each with something to hide and something to fear, are invited to a lonely mansion on Soldier Island by a host who, surprisingly, fails to appear.
When the wealthy patriarch, Aristide, is murdered, suspicion falls on the whole household. ...
Travelling on the Orient Express, Poirot is approached by a desperate American. Afraid that someone plans to kill him, Ratchett asks Poirot for help ...
