Christie Games for Mac OS X

I'm writing this in the hopes that someone can provide me with some information as to how to purchase some of the Agatha Christie games for the Mac.  I have a laptop with Mac OS X.  I have been disappointed for a long time that none of the Christie computer games have been released as a Mac version.  Yesterday, I discovered that several websites sell an online download version on "Death on the Nile" and "Peril at End House" that is Mac OS X compatable.  There were links from the official Apple website, so it appears that the game is legitimate.  However, the Mac version only appears to be available through download and not by purchase on CD-rom.  I played the free one-hour demo of "Peril at End House" on my Mac and enjoyed it (one problem: one puzzle- the assembly of a torn-up newspaper– requires the use of a right-click mouse button, and my MacBook only has one button on the trackpad, so I couldn't get that particular puzzle to work.)  I discovered that the full game could be downloaded for $19.99.  Further research showed me that the game can be purcahased on multiple sites for less.  However, I am wary about using my credit cards on some of these sites.  First, I would like to know if an official CD-rom edition of these games for the Mac is planned, and if the games are only avialable through internet download for Mac OS X, I would really appreciate it if someone would tell me the best  safe and reputable sites for downloading the game, and if a reduction in price is planned for anytime soon.  Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Hello from a fellow Mac user :) Are you specifically interested in the casual games or would you also like to play the "real" Christie adventure games for PC? The latters I can definitely recommend as they are beautifully done and really give you a feeling of being inside her most famous novels! I am a very happy Mac user but I also play a lot of detective/adventure games and as the vast majority is only available for Windows, I have taken advantage of the wonderful opportunity the new macs offer, which is to install a version of Windows on your mac! When you do that, you have practically both a mac and a windows OS and can purchase all games for Windows and install them on your windows partition on your mac. All information about how to do that you find on the apple website, under the voice Boot Camp. That is the best solution I would recommend.

Otherwise , I would recommend you download the games for mac you are interested in directly from the links provided from the apple website, as they are usually the developer´s site and are reputable. Follow this link for Peril at End House:

Hope this helped! Enjoy your gaming :)

Thanks for replying!  I have played and enjoyed  the three "adventure games" (ATTWN, MOTOE, EUTS) on a PC, but since I do most of my work and internet searching on my Mac laptop, and the PC is old and takes forever to start up, I was really hoping to use Peril at End House on the Mac once I discovered it was available.  I wanted to make sure I purchased and downloaded the game from a reputable site that would allow me to keep the game as long as I like without having to pay a monthly fee to keep it.  Thanks again!
