I like this movie. I like the actors/actresses acting. Emily Blunt as Linnet is a good actress and also JJ Feild, a good actor. The one who acts as Jackie is also a good actress(don't know her name). They changed some plots and deleted some characters like Jim Fanthorp and Nurse Bowers.  I rate it 7/10 though I rate the book 10/10.

I've watched the film (Suchet's one) a while ago, and it was pretty good. I haven't read the book. Um...I don't think I remember Nurse Bowers in this version too... (well, i am really bad at remembering stuff, so, im not too sure)

No, in David Suchet version, Nurse Bowers was deleted.

I like JJ Feild but some words JJ Feild is saying-I can't understand. Emma Malin is really fabulous and good in acting as Jackie!

I loved Peter Ustinov's Version.. It had Top notch actors and the story flowed better. I wasn't too fond of the Suchet version.. I thought it was a bit choppy and I HATED the interpretation of the Otterbourns.. They seemed like they were emo or something.. I liked Angela Lansbury in the role as well as olivia hussy they seemed to get along a bit better and weren't so depressing. I think its because the actors in the Unstinov version were more recognizable to americans. I had heard of a lot of them from other movies but the Suchet verion I had never heard of the actors.Even though the Suchet one followed the book better the ustinov flowed better anyways. Ustiov: 9/10 Suchet: 7/10

I loved David Suchet's version! It was a bit closer than PU's version and the actors were better, in my opinion. (Emma Malin is fabulous as Jackie! I didn't like JJ Field and Emily Blunt though in the film!) However, I think that both versions should be mixed, a combination of both would result in perfection. We would have all of the characters, the spirit of the book well captured, the sets... I love DS's soundtrack, I must say. And the essence of the film!:)

I haven't read ther book so don't know about how faithful the Adapts are but prefer the Cast and the Music in the Ustinov version, I learnt on ITV3 the other night that the boat used in the Suchet version was the one in the Ustinov version.

I would rate the David Suchet version of the film as 9/10 and the Ustinov vershion as 7/10. The David Suchet version stayed a bit closer to the book and I liked most of the actors in it.
