I like Angela Landesbury as Miss Marple too and I love her as Jessica Fletcher, I love the Comparisons between Agatha Christie and MSW, Poirot is a PI like Jerry Orbach's Character and the Guy who was in MASH for a while, Lou Carriou played as Member of the Secret Service like Race, Sheriff Metzer and Sheriff Tupper are recurring Policemen aswell as Herb Edelman's Charcter like Japp, Craddock and Slack and there is Seth Hazlett who is the Doctor like Dr Haydock although Dr Haydock rarely appears and Finally Jessica Fletcher is a Novelist just like JB.
I didn't notice The Hollow was set in the Autumn (The Fall)
I haven't been on this site in awhile, so I feel lost right now, looking for a topic to comment on. I chose you because you have been watching the shows. I have all the TV series on DVD and have only read a few of the books, so I am more familiar with the TV series and DVD movies. Have you seen The Hollow? It is one of my favorites and I have just started reading the book. I read it every Fall because the book/movie takes place in the Fall. The scenery on the movie is so pretty with the falling leaves and frosty breath of the speakers! The actors do a very good job and every character is very well developed. Maybe you could watch it and comment some more. I'd love to know your opinion!

I've recently discovered tv series and movies of poirot and miss marple in youtube and have enjoyed watching them immensely. I recalled falling in love with Agatha Christie's books when I was in high school ( over 20 years ago). And watching the tv series and movies in the internet has brought me back to my childhood, making the books come to life.
I can say that it's not hard to fall for the charms of M. Poirot and overlook his egoistic character. His charms exceeds his annoying traits. David Suchet is indeed the real M. Poirot come to life. The rest of the actors who potrayed Poirot before could not equal Mr. Suchet's artistic talent in portraying this loved character. Some portarys him in an annoying manner - quite vulgar and loud. Suchet's Poirot is full of class, suave, charms and wit. Sometimes, a ladies man.
Kudos to Mr. Suchet for making me fall in love with Agatha Christie's stories all over again.
Miss Joan Hickson is also superb as Miss Marple. I also like Angela Lansbury as Jane Marples but much more as Miss Fletcher...
I'm so glad to renew my love for Christie's novels and stories...and now movies and tv series... I just can't get enough of them!!!
