BILL KENWRIGHT BY SPECIAL ARRANGMENT WITH AGATHA CHRISTIE LTD PRESENTS AGATHA CHRISTIE’S Murder On The Nile

Now in its seventh sensational year, the Agatha Christie Theatre Company presents a stylish new production of the queen of crime’s classic thriller Murder on the Nile.

On board a steamer, cruising under the scorching Egyptian sun, honeymooners Simon Mostyn and his wealthy socialite wife Kay find themselves being pursued by an old flame of the newly wedded groom... Then tragedy strikes... A body is discovered. And all fingers point to Simon’s ex fiancée. But everything is not what it seems, and holidaying cleric Canon Pennefather is drawn into a web of intrigue and deceit as he finds himself on the trail of a ruthless murderer.

Presented by the official Agatha Christie Theatre Company and starring Kate O’Mara, prolific stage actress and star of such TV hits as Dynasty and Bad Girls, Denis Lill, whose extensive TV career most recently includes ITV’s hit drama The Royal and Doctor Who, Susie Amy, star of 71 Degrees North and Footballer’s Wives, Chloe Newsome, who played Vicky McDonald in Coronation Street, Ben Nealon, fondly remembered as Capt Jeremy Forsythe from the long running ITV drama Soldier Soldier and 60’s pop idol, Mark Wynter.

Following on from the hugely successful; Witness For The Prosecution, And Then There Were None, The Unexpected Guest, The Hollow, Verdict, and Spider’s Web, the latest instalment from the Agatha Christie Theatre Company promises an all star cast, a host of colourful characters, and all the twists and turns of a classic Christie to keep you guessing to the final shattering climax.

Sadly the play isnt coming anywhere near us (sad face)
We saw And Then There Were None at Chichester which was just excellent so its a shame we will miss this one.

It sounds very interesting. The novel is called "Death on the Nile". The plot of the play is similar to the novel so I wonder why the play is called "Murder on the Nile"?

It's times like this when I wish I lived in Europe

Do you mean the character or the actress playing Kay?  Christie changed Linnet's name to Kay; and I'd figure either Susie Amy or Chloe Newsome plays Kay.

Mrs_Ascher 04 Nov 11 at 9:40p.m.

Wha... Oh right they changed it a bit. I was just wondering, who is Kay?
