- Why I like Christie
- I love that era. My grandmother was born in 1918. She used to tell me stories of her younger days, as well as WWII. My fascination started then.
I remember her reading Christie's books and loved a good murder mystery.
Then theres the films and now the Televison series.
Nine times out of ten, they'd be watched...
The other occassion?
Well we might be out and about at the time! };-{)>
Joan Hickson is "my Miss Marple" and of course David Suchet's Poirot.. Priceless. (Though I've a soft spot for Ustinov's, well I grew up watching his films before hand.)
And now, I'm finally discovering the novels. Starting with Miss Marple, currently reading A Murder Is Announced. Though I've known the stories from television.
I'm greatly enjoying the books.
The words/prose are wonderful.
Such a joy.
As to a favourite Detective...
How could you ask? ;-)
