I am very pleased to welcome you to the new Agatha Christie website.
Agatha Christie remains the most popular novelist in history, with over two billion of her books sold at a conservative estimate. The rejacketing of her books and new adaptations of Poirot and Marple on ITV have all ensured that the magic of her storytelling continues to reach a contemporary audience and that she continues to be recognised as the undisputed 'Queen of Crime'.
It is important to find ways of showing new audiences the continuing relevance of my grandmother's timeless stories of moral corruption, murder and deceit and the ease with which she can speak to modern society is especially evident this year. Kevin Elyot's new stage adaptation of And Then There Were None premiered in the West End, London in October 2005 to rave reviews and another innovative interpretation of this classic mystery launched worldwide... the first ever Agatha Christie story to be adapted into a PC game!
Here at agathachristie.com you can explore this ever expanding world of Agatha Christie, and learn a bit more not only about her own life and the legacy she left for generations of mystery lovers to follow, but also keep up to date with book launches, national events and new products.

We hope that you'll visit our website regularly and join the worldwide Christie community. We would also like to hear your thoughts and comments on the new site. Log on to 'Have Your Say' and share your views with other Christie fans around the world in the online chatroom.
